International Coffee Day is around the corner and what better way to celebrate than coming together with friends and enjoying an Averna Espresso after a delicious meal.
Since 1868, Amaro Averna has represented true Sicilian craft with a story that celebrates heritage and tradition. Its recipe transmits the flavors and aromas of the land it comes from and has become a staple in every Italian home, passed down from generation to generation. For Sicilians, a meal is meant to be savored, it’s never a rushed event. The lingering moments after a shared meal are the perfect time to sit back and share stories while sipping on a glass of Averna.
Creating an Averna Espresso for the upcoming International Coffee Day on Oct. 1 is my plan!
Averna Espresso
1.5 parts Averna
.5 part Vanilla syrup
3 drops Chocolate bitters
1 part espresso
Shake and strain into a glass and garnish with orange zest
